On My Bookshelf

There’s absolutely nothing like a good book and flipping from page to page, anticipating what’s to come. I have always loved reading and this year, I made it my mission to live in the moment and read as much as I can. In January of this year, I read a total of 11 books for the month. I loved every minute of it. In February, I was only able to read one book before life got a bit more busy. I can’t wait to get back to reading, but for now, I will share with you the books I have read thus far and the books waiting to be read on my TBR (to be read) list. I love reading books by Black authors and women & men of color. To keep up with my day-to-day reading, follow my personal blog Instagram page @tallawahting. Happy Juneteenth & don’t forget to support Black owned businesses, initiatives, creatives, writers, organizations, and more year-round. Take the time to learn a bit more about the significance behind this special day here.
